Cone Penetration Testing Explained

Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) is an advanced geotechnical investigation method that involves pushing a cone-tipped probe into the ground at a controlled rate while continuously measuring the resistance encountered by the cone tip, sleeve friction, and pore water pressure.

Unlike traditional soil borings that provide data only at discrete depths, CPT delivers a continuous, uninterrupted profile of subsurface conditions from the surface to the target depth. This makes CPT one of the most efficient and data-rich methods available for geotechnical and environmental site characterization.

Eagle Synergistic integrates CPT directly into our HRSC investigation programs, allowing clients to get both geotechnical and environmental data from a single field deployment.
